I have been working on farm equipment most of my life. I enjoy learning how all the machinery works, and the parts that compose them. I often have to fix machinery in ways that save money, such as welding, brazing and other ways to avoid buying new parts. At my family farm I also seed, combine, truck, disc, and help maintain all the equipment, and fix day to day breakdowns. I have completed the Agricultural Equipment Technician diploma at Olds College, as well as the Heavy Duty Technician Diploma there. I learnt about hydraulic systems, transmissions, engines, brakes, computer systems, hydrostatics, electronics and many other things. I also spent a lot of time in the shop with journeymen disassembling, reassembling and diagnosing both agricultural and other heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers. I have plenty of experience to immediately be useful around the shop in many different ways, and the passion to keep learning and become more useful everyday.
