With over 15 years of experience in data engineering and architecture, I am passionate about creating and delivering innovative data solutions that enable data-driven decision making and insights. My core competencies include data lakehouse design and implementation, data pipeline development, cloud services configuration and administration, and data analysis and visualization. Currently, I am a Solutions Architect at the University of South Africa, where I work with the Advanced Student Analytics team to design and implement an end-to-end Azure Synapse Lakehouse solution that integrates data from various on-premise and cloud sources.In my current role, I leverage my skills in Azure Databricks, Databases, Data Warehousing, and Power BI to develop data pipelines, perform data engineering and analysis, and create reports and dashboards for the Advanced Student Analytics platform. I also collaborate with other data architects, data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of the data solution. I enjoy working on challenging and impactful projects that enhance the student experience and academic performance at the University of South Africa.
