Fascinated by Robotics most of my life, I received my Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Mechatronics in 2014 from New Mexico Insitute of Mining and Technology (NMT).I enjoy keeping up with the latest technology and always try to extend the lifetime of a product beyond its need in an effort to use its full potential for the lowest cost. I don't believe in obtaining a newer model if the old one is just as capable. I consider myself competent in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science.My thesis centered around using Google Android-powered mobile devices to advance low-cost robotic kits. My research ascertained whether it was possible to use Bluetooth as an effective method of remotely programming a robot through the use of a custom client/server based interpreted language. By using this I found it was possible to remove any hardware limitations of the robot had (processing, memory, sensor ports) by allowing all major process handling to be done by the mobile device, also allowing access to the mobile device's sensor suite.I spend my free time assisting RoboRAVE International, a global non-profit robotics competition. Leading their technological development, developing competitions, and assisting students and teachers with programming and engineering. I am currently redeveloping their web-based infrastructure involving full-stack development and merging all their global entities under one roof.
