Project Manager for Peckham Platform’s Create Civic Change; a new community led and co-commissioned project championing meaningful and creative civic change in Peckham.Peckham Platform has been awarded funding for 'Tilting the Mirror' a new cross-generational and cross-cultural project to champion creative civic change in Peckham. In a context of growing inequality, the programme seeks to “tilt the mirror” on the negative perceptions of Peckham and use the arts to encourage all residents to contribute to a new future for the area. The project, supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Local Trust Creative Civic Change exists to establish a greater knowledge and understanding of community-led cultural activity over three years.

Briony Campbell is an artist documentary maker currently working between Europe and Africa, and is a recipient of funding from the Arts Council England for her project Love in Translation (formerly Britain Loves Africa). Focusing on the relationships of Britons who have fallen in love with Africans, the project explores the challenges and rewards of relocation such as intimacy, otherness, assimilation and ideas of home.As Research and Production Assistant, my role requires original and secondary research pertaining to the project themes, contextualising the work within contemporary social and historical positioning (both in the UK and internationally). This research is collated into strategic reports to identify, secure and develop partnerships with collaborators, related arts/cultural professionals and dissemination opportunities. Held at The Gallery in Redchurch Street, the exhibition showcased the talents of selected artists from the Manchester School of Art photography BA, 2013. As one of the lead coordinators, I was responsible for fundraising securing donations, the organisation of auctions of donated works from established artists; online donation pages and social media, £5000 raised in total; the production of promotional texts (including website, catalogues and press releases); website development, administration, exhibition branding and exhibition coordination.

Working closely with the Centre Director on fundraising, the development of policy and project coordination. Administration for local campaigns and national initiatives and actively promoting the importance and benefits of Pro Bono work and Corporate Social Responsibility.
