I currently work for Wannon Water as the Operations Technical Solutions Officer after beginning my career here as a Treatment Operations Officer. I help to troubleshoot and problem solve water and wasterwater plant operational issues, implement legislative changes to ensure plant performance compliance, and provide technical support and advice for treatment process optimisation and improvements.As Treatment Operations Officer I worked in a variety of water and wastewater plants throughout Warrnambool, Port Fairy and surrounds as part of the Central Treatment Team and was involved in the day to day running of these plants, plus reticulation sampling and problem solving as required to ensure the plants continued to run smoothly and operate optimally. As part of my position I completed a Certificate III in Water Operations.I have previously worked for Nalco Champion at the VIVA Energy Geelong Refinery as a Laboratory Technician taking crude oil and water samples and conducting numerous tests on them. I gained experience in a high risk environment where my attention to detail and focus on safety were paramount to ensure that my work was done correctly and without causing harm to myself, those around me and the refinery itself. I am well known for my drive to succeed in all tasks set before me no matter how difficult or challenging they may be. I always look for areas to improve in and to gain further knowledge on the sector in which I am currently working. I have had experience in leading and motivating group projects in order to meet deadlines and provide projects which meet the job scope to a very high standard.I hold bachelor degrees in Chemical Engineering (Honours) and Applied Chemistry (Distinction) from RMIT University.
