Composition was formed to provide organisations with the skills and expertise of a large professional conference organiser but with a more personalised and hands-on approach. As an accredited professional conference organiser, I organise conferences from the initial planning stages through to the on-site management, pulling together all of the elements needed for an enjoyable and successful event. This includes:• Overseeing the conference delegate registration and management process.• Managing conference stakeholders such as sponsors, speakers, and exhibitors.• Creating promotional strategies that include websites, print collateral, and other media.• Coordinating the suppliers needed to deliver the event such as photographers, caterers, audio visual, lighting, etc.

As a Senior Event Manager, I managed large conferences from conception to completion and handled the on-site management of large conferences and events including exhibitors, sponsors and delegates. This also included:• Maintaining excellent relationships with key suppliers e.g. audio visual, venue, accommodation, entertainment, clients, and delegates.• Assisting in the preparation of conference and events budgets, project plans and strategies.• Managing the IT components of conference and event management including the programming of registration software, setting up conference websites, and using technology to simplify the registration process.

As the iSITE Marketing Manager for Tourism New Zealand, I was responsible for managing the brand standards and implementing the marketing and advertising strategy for the iSITE network. This included: • Developing the marketing and advertising strategy for the iSITE network, which is made up of 86 branches operating across New Zealand. • Creating and implementing the brand standards. This ensured consistent advertising, signage, staff uniforms and the setup of visitor centres.• Conducting regular market research activities, including monitoring tourism trends and statistics• Assisting in the coordination of the annual iSITE conference.• Managing and coordinating promotional events throughout the network of information centres

As the Marketing Manager for Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa, I was responsible for the re-branding and re-positioning of this leading New Zealand tourism resort. This also included:• Developing and implementing the promotion, advertising and marketing activities.• Researching and monitoring statistics on visitor numbers, origins, growth and customer perceptions• Developing and managing the online consumer database to deliver monthly newsletters.
