Refugee turned global nomad. Bosnian American. US-trained lawyer. Practice areas vary, include international law, human rights, humanitarian law, transitional justice and development. Skilled in strategy and business plan development for international advocacy initiatives, development of policy and legal briefs for high-level political and expert audiences. Moreover, I developed plans and tools for implementation of grass-roots, rights-based advocacy campaigns. Returned to my first homeland 22 years after fleeing the war, and after 13 years of working on development of new international norms related to war, transitional justice and human rights. Complemented my international experience with country program leadership and management, first of intl political foundation working on participation of women in politics in BiH, and then of a national NGO, enabling young people to use arts in service of social change and reconciliation. I was the executive producer and translator for the USAID-funded documentary “ReGeneration”. With a comprehensive set of skills and experience, I am looking for new professional opportunities, which will allow me to be most effective and productive in my efforts to contribute to positive changes in my country and worldwide. I am a productive team player, and work very well on my own and independently. Generally, I am seeking ways in my life to nourish excellence and use it for social progress. Always learning.
