About Nerissa Van De Walker, Rn, Msn

I have been a nurse for almost 20 years and have spent the last 18 years working as a hospice and home health nurse. I completed my Master's of Science of Nursing (MSN) through Loyola University New Orleans with a focus on Health Care Systems Management December 2012. I completed 180 clinical hours through Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing. I possess determination and passion to help patients with their needs and community resources. I enjoy working in hospice because I am able to spend the time needed with my patients and families educating them about the terminal illness in which they face. I look forward to the possibilities my advanced degree will afford me. I love to educate nurses, patients, and family members as well as orienting new staff members.
