With over 20 years of experience in education, I am a passionate and dedicated teacher and leader. I have taught English, English Language Development, and AVID at the high school level, as well as education courses at the undergraduate and graduate college level. My love for learning and commitment to the field have also led me to become a leader in teacher training and development, offering a course on Culturally Sustaining Pedagogies for district colleagues.As an Instructional Leader for the English Language Development Program, I have demonstrated strong leadership skills, creating a positive and supportive learning environment for my colleagues and students. Currently, I am an ELD Academic Coach where I collaborate with colleagues to improve student outcomes while supporting culturally sustaining practices in the classroom.My passion for teaching and learning, combined with my expertise and leadership skills, make me an invaluable asset to any institution. I am dedicated to embracing culturally responsive teaching practices and fostering professional growth, and I am excited to continue making a difference in the field of education.
