Since I was a child, I have always sought to build relationships. This drive to create community has pushed me forward both personally and professionally.My professional journey in community building and engagement began during my time as the Head of Events for UTD Esports. There I built a team from the ground up so that we might foster a welcoming environment both in-person and virtually. My team and I had to navigate the challenge of event planning during a global pandemic and innovate ways to develop lasting connections. We garnered the support of people across the university and also collaborated with companies such as Red Bull, Liquid Death, the YMCA, and more.As a Digital Fundraising Manager at the American Heart Association, I have the privilege of spearheading initiatives that bridge compassion with action. We raise funds to create meaningful change. You cannot have a community if there are no people to participate in it, so we work to improve health equity. This drives us to innovate ways to engage content creators and build a better world with them.As I progress in my career, I will work to support a local and international community. I want to grow my leadership skills and build teams to impact the world around us positively. I am determined to be a life-long learner and will always seek environments and people I can evolve alongside.
