University degree in Economics and Master in International Trade and Finance by University Méditerranée and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Postgraduate in International relations and Regional Integration by Universitat de Barcelona.From 2004 till 2011, he managed EU funded projects for regional governments, universities and research centres. In 2011, he decided to cross to the other side, from being a project leader, on the field, to managing a EU funded Programme, in the framework of the European Territorial Cooperation, and namely for Mediterranean regions (Interreg MED): As Project Officer and referent for Innovation, Nicolas was in charge of drafting the calls for proposals (Terms of Reference), evaluation, monitoring and capitalization of innovation related projects. Since 2015, he’s back on the field, managing and leading large-scale innovation projects.He is, thus, experienced in managing and coordinating complex projects, mainly related with innovation. On another hand, he has a deep knowledge of the administrative and financial issues, from the Managing Authority (EU programme) perspective. Lastly, Nicolas has strong communication skills, either as keynote speaker or as conference moderator. He is fluent in French (mother tongue), English, Spanish and Catalan and has basic knowledge of Italian.
