Income Maintenance Caseworker
CurrentCorrespond with clients and other public members on regular basis andanswer promptly and professionally inbound calls. Execute various keyfunctions as caseload management, including acknowledging paper andcomputer-generated alerts and reports, producing controls based onindividual customer circumstances, responding to hearing/appeals processesas well as improvising reported case changes. Communicate directly withwelfare customers and provide information and referrals regarding customers'demands and queries. Validate eligibility criteria via various DHS/OIMpolicies and procedures.• Approved alterations to computer databases, such as addition/ removal ofaddress/telephone numbers, household members, social security numbers, andunearned income, changing shelter/utility costs as well as earned income.• Application of Computer Systems: Utilized eCIS, CIS (Client InformationSystem) for IMCW to identify eligibility for financial assistance, Medicaid,and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).• Observed computer matches with various agencies and Departments toregulate continued eligibility of customers via IEVS system.• Conducted Interviews with customers, via telephone to determine andelaborate eligibility for DHS programs and services.• Employed telephone system for replying to inquiries and processingrequests received from customers across State.
