Responsible for the creation and execution of product strategies, product IR&D, and product life cycle management. Primary engineering interface with sales, manufacturing, procurement, planning and quality for the development, manufacturing transfer and legacy change management of the product line. Responsible for design for manufacturing and product transfer to the supply chain. Responsible for product cost initiatives, including supporting supplier transitions and procurement globalization initiatives.Ensures all employee activity, included testing, will be conducted in a safe manner.Ensures product development follows a defined process which is consistent with the SAFRAN Policy and Procedures, and industry practices. Practices and deploys Requirements Based Engineering.Monitors project performance metrics, and provides updates on project NRC status (ITD, EAC, variance to plan).Work with Program Management and Sales to manage all out-of-scope requests and assists with assertions.Communicate product development status, risks, and activities to the engineering leadership team and the SAFRAN Water & Waste Systems executive staff.

- Work independently and/or with a team composed of various disciplines. - Lead and oversees all aspects of product design life cycle including research, proposal, development and production phases.- Develop project plans including schedules, budgets and necessary design resources. - Coordinate with internal and external customers as well as vendors and suppliers to ensure critical issues are addressed in a timely fashion. Interfaces with strategic partners as the engineered product development focal.- Work with OEM’s, airlines, and airworthiness authorities to certify equipment for use on commercial, military, and private aircraft.- Champion continuous improvement of product design, including product differentiation and competitiveness, manufacturability improvements and component standardization.

- Support of verification and qualification activities required for certifying products for various customers- Assisted Project Engineers in development activities and responsible for the adhering to the project plan for various given tasks.- Evaluated and generated Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s)- Produced qualification test procedures and reports compliant with RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD 810 and applicable customer specifications.- Supported feasibility, development, validation, verification, and qualification testing.
