This team was designated with designing and building rest based APIs to expose shopping experience APIs (sales/carting/payments/etc). Prior, only the legacy system had the ability to provide these user experiences. These APIs are the core of what's allowed Mindbody to rapidly expand its experiences around marketplace features both internally and externally in the desktop and mobile workspaces. I led in building a service oriented architecture for these APIs. I mandated a testing process to strive for top code coverage both by end to end and behavioral unit testing, a Mindbody first. Services are built on top of WCF (not my decision), leveraging Azure Service Bus, Redis, ElasticSearch, and Microsoft SQL Server. REST APIs built using ASP .NET Web API.Additional work:+Migration off of riak search (solr) to ElasticSearch on AWS.+Migration off of riak kv to DynamoDb on AWS.+Logging service for internal auditing and error visibility for WCF services+Service model infrastructure for simple building and deployment of WCF services with full dependency injection support and convention based configuration to remove the WCF configuration pains.+Internal tools - various scripting to help Engineers setup workstations and local instances of repositories.
