Bureau Chief of Prevention & Intervention/Harm Reduction Strategies HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STD and TB Administration, Washington, DC 2008 – Present Manage all aspects of the Prevention bureau for the HIV AIDS Hepatitis STD and TB Administration (HAHSTA). Lead role in the creation of a prevention strategy and the coordination of the prevention infrastructure for the District of Columbia. Ensure the proper oversight of all publicly funded community partners to ensure the provision of high-quality HIV prevention services to the community. Participate in the HAHSTA senior management team providing regular updates to senior administration as well as the community regarding Prevention strategies, activities, and effectiveness. Represent HAHSTA in local and national activities related to expert consultation, pilot activities and other exercises in support of the advancement of the HIV prevention strategies. Establish and maintain working relationships with federal funders and oversee the management of up to 8 million dollars in federal grants. Implemented and expanded a network of harm reduction programs. Created a municipal scale up of narcan distribution and other strategies to address the Opioid crisis in DC. Responsible for the design and implementation of numerous programs in order to address the opioid crisis in DC.

Responsible for the administration of the Counseling Testing and Referrals (CTR)Bureau for the Department of Health. The Bureau funds, coordinates and monitors HIV testing delivery for the District of Columbia as well as it provides standards for best practice, education/training and technical assistance to service providers in tyhe city.

Responsible for the development and management of the Whitman-Walker Northern Virginia Regiona Clinic. Provided full coordination of services and grants and provided support and coordination to staff, physicians, and other clinicians.

Provided direction and managed the Division. Responsible fo all administrative aspects for a large number of staff and provided direction and training to new staff. Participated in the creation, design and implementation of HIv prevention programs including HIV testing. Maintained close communication with public funders, stakeholders and outside providers in order to coordinate large scale community activities.
