I am responsible of managing the Data Privacy Program of ATP and head a team of 11 legal counsels, risk analysts, proces specialists and data managers dedicated to ensure data protection across ATP Group Functions and Digital Solutions. ATP Group is Denmark’s largest pension and processing company and has around 3,000 employees working across three areas: managing pensions, investment and administration. The main focus in my team is Privacy Information Management regarding the numerous tasks ATP administers on behalf of the Danish state, municipalities and the social partners. This mainly concerns the payments of social benefits and various pension and insurance schemes. Examples include ATP Pension, the state pension (folkepension), family benefits (familieydelse), rent subsidies (boligstøtte), holiday pay (feriepenge) and the processing of industrial injury claims (Arbejdsmarkedets Erhvervssikring). We give advise and inform management and employees of their obligations pursuant to GDPR in order to ensure accountability and compliance with GDPR, Data Ethics, NIS2 and Public Law. My teams is involved in all issues regarding protection of PII. We manage data processors and carry out Risk Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Transfer Impact Assessments (TIA), manage data breaches and ensure accountability with the requirements of GDPR in our Privacy Information Management System. We work closely with all business units, incl. our Data Protection Officer and Security (2nd-line).I participate in several steering comittees and report frequently to C-level and different Board of Directors on the status of our Privacy Programme, Data Ethics and the constantly changing legal landscape regarding Data Privacy, Cloud and Digitization.I enjoy being involed in strategic planning but furthermore to secure commitment and connect the dots between strategy and action in my team.

As responsible of managing the Data Privacy Program of ATP I started as head of five legal counsels in October 2021 at Group Legal. In August 2022, the management decided to align and consolidate the crossfunctional Data Privacy efforts, and I had six risk analysts, proces specialists and data managers added to my team. As SPOC regarding Data Privacy and Protection my team gives advise in order to ensure accountability and compliance with GDPR, Data Ethics, NIS2 and Public Law.

As Group Data Protection Officer I had the following main responsibilities: - Being involved in all issues relating to the protection of PII with due regard to risk.- To give advice to business units carrying out data protection impact assessments (DPIA).- To monitor compliance with GDPR, national law and ATP policies.- Ensure awareness/training of employees/processors including e-learning (gamification). - Responsible for the contact and consultation with the Danish Supervisory Authority incl. audits. - Contact point of the data subjects with regard to all issues related to processing of their personal data.- To report on a regular basis to CEO, Senior Management and the Board of Directors.

As Group Sr. Legal Counsel I gave advice regarding personal data protection and contract law, in particular in the field of large scale IT contracts (outsourcing, cloud, software development, application management, IT operations and business processes).I played an active role in the corporate implementation of EU GDPR to ensure compliance by May 25 2018. I gave advice regarding privacy by design and by default before and during ATP's public procurement processes, conducted DPIA's, renegotiated contracts with dataprocessors, enhanced accountability by creating internal records of processing activities and secured awareness regarding personal data protection at "C" and senior management level and among employees.I completed Plesner's Certificate on Data Protection in spring 2016 and participated in Plesner Data Protection Law Forum and other relevant Data Protection Forums, e.g. ISF Information Security Forum.I have substantial in-house experience with strategic counselling in projects with many stakeholders and complex legal and commercial issues and risks.ATP is the largest pension fund in Denmark and has a total of 5 million members. In 2016 ATP Livslang Pension was disbursed to 1,003,700 pensioners. The ATP Processing Business (Administrationsforretningen) is responsible for the administration of numerous schemes and benefits and disburses in excess of DKK 200 bn annually, making it the largest Danish disbursement unit of welfare and social security benefits. With assets under management in excess of DKK 753 bn, ATP Pension & Investments ranks among the largest investors in Europe. ATP has 3000 employees.
