Associating with other team members in Characterizations and Analysis of Engineering Materials using sophisticated Instruments. Analyses were made not only in the operational capabilities but also in gathering generic knowledge for interpretation of results. The Assignments Carried out are:Thermal Analysis: Tests have been conducted for Glass Transition (Tg), Melting Point, Crystallization, Specific Heat, Kinetics using Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC-Mettler Toledo). Thermal stability and Thermal degradation using Thermo gravimetric Analyzer (TGA-TGA Q500), Thermal Expansion and Dimensional Changes using Thermo mechanical Analyzer (TMA-TMA Q400). Phase Transformation using Differential Thermal Analyzer (DTA, Perkin Elmer, and Thermal Analysis Controller).Spectroscopic Analysis: Chemical Structure Analysis has been studied using FTIR (FTIR-Thermo Scientific). Morphology Studies have been examined using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM-LEICA SGGOi).Chromatographic Analysis: Dissolved gas analysis of transformer oil was conducted using Gas Chromatography.Polymer Processing: Gained Experience in Polymer Processing by operating Blending apparatus like Blabender Plasticorder and Moulding Equipment like Compression Moulding Press.Chemical Analysis: Routine Chemical Analysis Comprising Volumetric Titration, Gravimetric Determination using Muffle Furnace and Condensation and Reflux studies for Aqueous and Organic Solvents were undertaken.Physical Testing: Physical Properties testing such as Specific Gravity using Mettler Balance, Heat Distortion Temperature using HDT Apparatus (Ray-Ran HDT Vicat Softening Point Apparatus) and General Dimensional Measurements of testing samples have been carried out in the laboratory.
