Great PART TIME marketing and sales opportunity, helping connect beautiful RV Resorts with businesses that could really use those tourism dollars. I was able to help RV resorts with their marketing to RVers, helping those RV properties grow. Below is a photo of our "office” 2015-2022, our Itasca Ellipse Uptra motorhome. Recognized as the company's Outstanding Marketing Consultants 2016-2021, we were fortuante to set company records twice for gross annual sales ($446K) as well as gross sales in one month ($257K). Other recognitions include the 2014 Sales Associates of the Year, Million Dollars in Sales (in first 4 years), President Club level (2016-2021), Champagne and Platinum Club levels for 2015 and 2014 respectively. We enjoyed working with over 75 RV Resorts for their marketing needs and Guest Guide programs. And all of this, part time, about 5 months a year, on the road.We offered a powerful digital platform (MobileRVing.com) reaching one million unique visitors a year and a social group on Facebook (The RV Bunch with 88K members). We were helping our RV resort partners build their business. We also offered a robust, state of the art online reservation system, MySites.com, FREE for our RV partners. So much we could do for our RV Resort Partners. And all that we noted above was at no cost to those RV partners.In addition, we helped build and market the finest web sites and build the visitors for our RV resort partners. It was so cool to help small businesses grow with our print, our digital and my marketing experience.We set our hours, we loved seeing new places, meeting lots of new people, seeing family members and friends I had not seen for many years. We loved the lifestyle and always said we were blessed far more than we deserve.

This was an incredible job from which I retired in Dec. 2012. I was able to use my media, theatre and networking skills in this position. My areas of responsibility as a vice president for this multi-billion dollar integrated healthcare delivery system included Communications and Marketing for the entire system, Medical Call Center (Mountain States NurseLink), our Screening services (including the HeartCoach service), Business Health, the Health Resources Center, and the MSHA Print & Mail. Managed marketing budgets totaling $5 million plus, saving $4 million+ annually keeping the functions in house after building a very talented creative team from the local region. I was honored to speak publicly on behalf of Mountain States Health Alliance, the largest healthcare system in a 29-county area, bringing loving care to health care in the Appalachian communities. As noted earlier, I retired from this position in 2012 at 55 years old to have more opportunity to care for aging parents and travel with my wife in our motorhome. I miss the people, the tempo but know in my heart this was the right decision at this point in our lives.

Great job responsible for the local, regional and national sales efforts for the local CBS affiliate in New Orleans, LA. WWL-TV was at that time the #1 CBS in the country in terms of market share. Successes included taking the sales team from 17th in a corporate competition to 1st place in my first 3 months, which is taking the team from $0 to over $1 million in new sales. As the area did not offer great opportunities for my kids, I moved back to the Tri-Cities in 1999.

At WJHL-TV 11 for many years, first as an Account Executive (1983-1986) then as the GSM (1988-1998) after a two year stint as the Local Sales Manager for a sister station, WTVR-TV 6 in Richmond, VA. As GSM, I was responsible for the local, regional and national sales efforts for the CBS affiliate in the Tri-Cities, TN-VA market. Creative sales relationships was my strength as I developed many creative promotions which would build stronger relationships with our client base while helping their businesses grow. Left when I received the opportunity with an upper management position at the nation's #1 CBS affiliate, WWL-TV 4, in New Orleans.
