Coaching and managing a team of 5 developers to assist them in delivering code to the business for the clients they serviced.Alongside this I also took on some coding work, wrote articles and scripts that would enrich the team's work life and encourage them to follow good coding habits.The role also involved reporting to senior management each month on the progress of projects and financial reporting (forecast vs actual and other metrics).For anyone wondering why I left, after such a short time, the main reason would be that I did not fully appreciate the reporting side of the role when I took it on and I hated it.There was also some aspects of the work culture that "did not sit well" with me.

Since taking the NetSuite "SuiteScript 2.0 for Experienced SuiteScript 1.0 Developers" course late 2017 I have been writing scripts almost exclusively in SS2.0.2017 saw the first BUILT/ branch open which was amazing to be part of, and a huge achievement.

I have been creating and maintaining applications developed for the major supermarket chains and their suppliers across the UK and in other territories.I have developed Notes databases, writing Lotus Script and Formula Language alongside working with, JSON, AJAX and Prototyping concepts. I have written Lotus Script agents to create tables in RTF documents handling a mix of French and English data which is input through menu items and tables for MICROS' first Canadian client, Sobeys.I work closely with business consultants to turn "Scope documents" into software that matches client expectations. As an Analyst Programmer I produced reliable, maintainable and readable code in an agile development environment. I was expected to provide solutions to technical issues and suggest technical solutions based on business requirements. Alongside this I created work estimates and test plans from unit to system level and used HP's Mercury LoadRunner to create test scriptsI supported systems once they went "Live" and provided out of hours callout support and responded to client queries.Developed client account management tools, loan application processing software, batch record processing processes as well as fraud and crime detection software for the Metropolitan Police on behalf of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.Clients I have worked for include Alliance & Leicester Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, First National Tricity Finance, the Metropolitan Police, Great Universal Stores Home Shopping, and Hutchinson 3 Group.Duties and responsibilities Creating documentation such as unit test plans and progress reports.Reporting to line management and the team with daily as a part of the agile development lifecycle.Unit and System testing.Providing support in the form of overnight / weekend callout.Provide informal training to members of other teams as and when required.Producing weekly reports to the directors of a sister company (GUSHS).
