All upgrades and changes were implemented without impact to production traffic.Day to day duties involve writing and editing network automation scripts using python and shell scripts to expand data center core architectures, add fiber capacity to metro fiber rings scaling up to 5T, adding additional capacity to the distribution layer and maintain the overall consistency within the network to be fully documented, interconnected, and fully redundant.I was personally responsible for clusters of data centers involving thousands of networked routers within the Amazon AWS network. The work I did within scalability projects was to ensure that all projects were completed on time, with the highest quality while meeting aggressive deadlines and maintaining the best network availability in the industry. Amazon's extensive use of large CLOS networking architectures allows them to provide the highest throughput, best quality and availability at the lowest cost for their customers. Using Amazon's proprietary software, hardware, and in house network automation tools, we are able to stay agile in a competitive cloud networking space to continually meet the aggressive needs of our customers.

I was responsible for the network build-out and operational support of several game titles before and after launch. I worked with developers and studios for each game project that I was assigned to ensure that the network, firewalls and load balancers were configured in an optimum way for each game. Credited projects include FIFA 13/14, many EA Mobile games, Crisis 3, Deadspace 3, and Pogo. Other projects supported were the launch of Simcity, Star Wars the Old Republic, and Battlefield 3. Day to day operational duties involved the monitoring of online network performance, provisioning and implementation of load balancer vips, asa firewall rules, ip assignments, routing, vlan and acl changes within the network for project deployments.Major accomplishments while at EA included the evaluation and roll out of a complete IP address management solution for EA Online, build-out of a new test lab for the engineering group, migration of EA Mobile to a new data center and a supportable network model, as well as the migration of the Pogo games group to a new collocated data center facility. I also worked to assist the enterprise network group to migrate the corporate MPLS cloud from Sprint to Verizon for all 60+ corporate sites globally within EA. This involved configuring new BGP policies across the backend enterprise VPN network.
