Worked within the Network Operations Center to install and maintain their logical and physical wide area network. Provided tier 3 technical support for customers. Designed custom connectivity solutions for customers. Used HP OpenView and MRTG (Multi-Router Traffic Grapher) to monitor network status, usage and capacity. Used QIP to manage IP addressing. Set up access lists on routers for route filtering. Configured NAT pools, static translations and conduits on PIX firewalls. Used Cisco debug utility and EtherPeek network sniffer to troubleshoot complex problems. Set up and supported Linux servers and desktops within the NOC. Set up and compiled Apache web server with MySQL and PHP support for internal NOC website, document repository and station logging applications. Experience in configuring Cisco 700, 1604, 2500, 2600, 4500, 7206, 7507 series routers, Cisco Catalyst series 1900, 5000 and 5500 10/100 Ethernet switches, Cisco PIX firewalls, Cisco Streaming IP Television, Stratacom BPX. Worked with DS0, DS1, DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48, Frame Relay, and ATM circuits. Very comfortable with VLSM, CIDR, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, Cisco vlans, Linux, Apache, Squid Proxy/Cache Server, Windows NT 4.0, IIS 4.0, MS Proxy Server, Solaris 2.6, Bind 8 DNS, DHCP and email administration. Solely migrated the LAN from a Novell 3.12 network to a Windows NT 4.0 network; Established the company I.T. department. Initiated company wide workstation baselines, login policies and set up an initial inventory and asset tracking of company computer equipment. Installed and maintained company phone system and voice mail. Developed company intranet web site using Cold Fusion and Perl/CGI scripts. Created a web front end to HR personnel database and web-based email access.
