During my professional career, I also had the opportunity to collaborate as a marketing lecturer and speaker at two leading universities in Mexico.After moving to Canada, by the end of 2013, I expanded my professional experience in social marketing; collaborating as an independent marketing communications consultant for various non-profit organizations such as The United Way of Calgary.Later, I collaborated as a communications advisor and planner at The City of Calgary; creating the basis of the first multicultural communications strategy for the City, which was later approved unanimously, as a policy by City Council in 2018.Due to my research work in the area of multicultural marketing, I won in 2017, the prestigious international award 'Gold Quill Award of Excellence', granted by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), in San Francisco, California. More recently, I published a marketing communications book targeted to the Hispanic market. After 7 months of being published (December 2021 & September 2022) the book ranked #1 in sales in Amazon Mexico, under the 'marketing books' category.Currently I re-joined the City of Calgary as a Marketing Strategist, helping the City to create a marketing framework for the municipal cemeteries, a talent acquisition marketing strategy (EVP) and a positioning strategy for Waste and Recycling Services (WRS). During my free time I keep supporting other organizations with their marketing needs.
