I'm a high school student determined to work in bionics and medical robotics. While volunteering at Walter Reed in the summer before my senior year of high school, I realized my interest in medicine came not from the human body, but from its potential to join forces with modern technology to change lives. In the coming fall, I will begin studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. After receiving a bachelor’s degree, I hope to attend graduate school and further specialize in robotics.I also have a passion for competitive swimming, and I love to coach younger swimmers in my free time. The dicipline, attention to detail, and time to think that swimming gives me greatly benefits my academic life, and its connection to physics has even inspired me to further explore the relationship between material and the human body.
