This company was a 50/50 Joint Venture with Gautrain BEE partner, Strategic Partners Group (SPG). Neville was responsible for the registration of this Legal Entity and he negotiated the Shareholders Agreement with BEE partner, SPG. He also facilitated a due diligence by SPG to take up their shareholding in this company and then served on the Board of Directors of this company for several years in capacities as Chairman of the Board, Director and Audit & Risk Committee Chairman and Member.Being a 50/50 join venture, the power was balanced equally between the two shareholders, which made it very important to maintain good relationships with the various shareholder appointed directors and it required excellent negotiation and deal making skills. IRS as a construction company was critical in the execution of the Gautrain project as it had to lay all of the trackwork for the Gautrain Project, trackwork being the first E&M subsystem that had to be installed before any other subsystems like overhead catenary and signalling could be installed. IRS through various acceleration variations, which Neville played a key role in negotiating and documenting, ensured success of the Gautrain Project in meeting the 2010 Soccer World Cup opening deadline.
