- Ensuring that all OLTP products delivered by the company perform, as per the business requirement, in production.- Troubleshooting performance issues employing VisualVM, Java GC analysis, thread dumps, profiling/sampling, Oracle Enterprise Manager, AWR etc.- Developing Performance Center of Excellence – Institutionalizing continuous performance management process in the organization.- Communicating performance figures and trends of different products to the various teams and the management - Benchmark performance in external labs - Nurture a team that focuses exclusively on software performance engineering - Independently evaluate applications with respect to operational readiness (failover, high availability, scalability, endurance)- Providing support for establishing NFRs (Non Functional Requirements) for different products- Responsible for conducting load testing of major product releases and ensuring that they conform to the performance requirements mandated by NFR
