• Led the system hardware engineering team developing the iPhone 5S.• Responsible for the design, implementation, and validation of the main logic board and all flexible circuits inside the phone.• Drove system integration bring up and debugging necessary for successful implementation of the new Touch ID fingerprint sensor• Directed cross-functional efforts to help debug and resolve stop ship issues

• Drove the main logic board design on the new iPhone 5S, aggressively shrinking overall board area in order to maximize battery capacity (+12% increase in capacity compared to the iPhone 5)• Completed power budget analysis / DCR tradeoffs to support peak CPU/SOC currents of the new 64-bit A7 processor• Worked with the Touch Hardware team to integrate the new Touch ID fingerprint sensor into the product• Collaborated with all cross-functional teams (iOS software, diags software, product design, antenna, RF, reliability, factory test, camera, acoustics, silicon) to help resolve system hardware issues throughout development

• System-level EE design on the second, third, and fourth generation iPod Touch, over 45 million units shipped. • Involved with all stages of product development, including: concept creation, investigation (system modeling/simulation, power budget, ERS documentation), design (component selection, schematic capture, layout), factory assembly and test (frequent international travel to the manufacturer to oversee and direct factory engineering team during SMA and FATP processes, assist test team in debugging online stations and increasing efficiency of test flow to aid transition to MP), system validation (testing power, signal integrity, timing of all EE subsystems over temperature, Si corner lots, etc), and providing support through product end of life (debug field returns, complete engineering post-ramp qualifications and support Apple Ops team to recover yield fallout)

Primary intern project: responsible for the live demo units for Steve Jobs' introduction of the iPod Nano 3G in September 2007.• Designed and built hardware for introduction demo of new product. Power budget, component selection, schematic capture, layout. Supported contractor designing FPGA code, collaborated with Apple PD team to meet constraints and manufacturing vendors for procurement/fabrication/validation of boards.
