I have over 30 years experience in various positions in the business world. My work delivers results and generate profits for companies. I am an expert in business strategy, leveraged buyouts, marketing, and corporate governance. My mission is to help small businesses improve margins and compete with big business. This is why I launched YourLeadPartners. During my tenure as Vice President for Citicorp Venture Capital, we transitioned to leveraged buyouts. I generated a broad array of investments in private and public companies. As founding Board Member and then Chairman of Sterling Holding Company, I orchestrated a leveraged buyout of Sterling Holding Company at Citicorp Venture Capital. The company was a highly profitable producer of coaxial connectors. It operated in the telecommunications and aerospace industries. I was a founding Board Member and became Chairman. At Stratos International, I served as Vice Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer. There, I led the merger between Sterling Holding Company and Stratos. A particular area of interest was improving company's corporate governance. My efforts resulted in the company receiving the highest corporate governance rating by ISS (Institutional Shareholder Services). As a Strategic Marketing Manager at Texas Instruments, I was responsible for repositioning the company in the data processing, telecommunications, and consumer markets.Today, as the Managing Member of YourLeadPartners, I am dedicated to serving small businesses. We deliver effective, easy-to-use, affordable, high ROI, and high-tech marketing solutions.My mission is to provide a consistent increase in profitable clients over the long term. As the the largest individual shareholder, other than the original CEO, I was the most active outside Board member throughout the history of the company participating in every major decision.

There were numerous technical challenges due to limitations created by the video capture device, a Vidicon and the requirement to develop specialized hardware, lighting, fixtures and so forth. At the time TI recruited him back, ECAM was sixth in the US market.

In 1981, Starks transferred from TI’s Computer Systems Division (“CSD”) in Austin to their Terminals and Peripherals Division (“TPD”) in Houston as Manager of New Business Development. Responsible for identifying and developing major new business thrusts for TPD, he invented and created the first prototype concept of the LCD-based notebook computer with form, fit and function clearly antecedent to notebook computers used today. Rod Canion (Compaq co-founder) provided I.D.E.A. funding for notebook program.
