I am an experienced, business focussed IT Project Manager with 40+ years in the IT industry of which more than 25 have been in senior project management roles.I have substantial experience and a proven track record of delivery on time and to budget in offshore development and outsourcing with globally distributed project teams including US, UK, Europe and the Philippines.On the technology front I have managed large delivery projects, including intranet, internet and e-commerce solutions, involving Telephony (AVAYA, VERINT), Integrated Product Delivery (Siemens), Enterprise Content Management (mainly Vignette but also Stellent), Microsoft Sharepoint and .NET, J2EE. Business sectors have included the public and private sectors with organizations such as BAE Systems Submarines, Houses of Parliament, BAA, CPS and Willis. More recently, whilst at Capita, I have been involved in BPO transition programmes.Professionally, I am a member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM), a Member of the Institute for the management of Information Systems (MIMIS) and a registered Prince2 practitioner. I am also security cleared to SC level.My experience covers the full project lifecycle and I have worked with several management methodologies including Prince, DSDM and SSADM. I was also a member of a working party that developed a bespoke, Prince-based methodology achieving ISO9001 accreditation.My experience of development methodologies includes RUP, RAD, XP (to a limited degree) and traditional waterfall.I am conscientious, versatile, quick on the uptake with excellent communications skills at all levels. Real-time interfaces to accounting systems and for address look-up. Project budget £1.75 million.Houses of Parliament – Vignette Enterprise Content Management and Dynamic Portal used to create a new intranet for the House.
