Carol is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds certifications as an Advanced Mediator and a Child and Family InvestigatorUsing a client-centered, eclectic approach to clinical work, Carol is focused on having the intervention approach fit the client's needs, not the other way around. Areas of particular expertise include grief and loss counseling, family assessment and treatment planning, co-occurring domestic violence and child abuse, sexual abuse and the etiology of non-accidental child fatalities. Carol has more than 30 years of experience in the child welfare field in public, private non-profit and private practice arenas as both a clinician and a program and public policy developer.Carol is an active member of the national and Colorado chapters of the National Association of Social Workers. Prior to this time, she consistently served for the past 30 years in a variety of organizations and on Boards and committees dedicated to child and family advocacy.

Carol served as the Program Administrator for Child Abuse and Treatment in the Division of Child Welfare, Colorado Department of human Services, administering Colorado's Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act and Children's Justice Act grants, Ongoing Children's Protective Services and Expedited Permanency Planning.During her tenure, she sered as the senior authority on child abuse and neglect for the Department where she engaged in program and policy development through the past two decades.
