Design and develop geometrical modeling infrastructure API for a complex Oil Exploration Software system – Decision Space (DS). Added multiple features to the 3D grid layer of the API which is used for oil flow simulation. Added 3D stencil feature for isolating areas of the model by specifying a polygon in 2D space and creating a “Cookie Cutter” entity to cut out the needed volume of the 3D model. Enhanced multiple algorithms in the process flow of the 3D model. Worked on a variety of bugs reported by the testers as well as customers. Used strict process of coding practices and source verification and control. Wrote unit and regression tests to validate changes and bug fixes.

Develop automated tests to verify the performance and integrity of the control software used in Dell-Compellent’s Storage Center. Gather test requirements, develop test software using Java, and report success or failure to appropriate stakeholders. Issues are reported via a defect tracking system and retested when development fixes reported bugs.

Designed and developed a 3D printing based system for jewelry manufacturing using MS C++ and C#. The system was deployed in production and is bringing savings by reducing direct labor costs. Created a procedure to utilize existing software to create STL (3D model) files that are used as input into the system. Created multiple system utilities using C#. Supported CNC Mills operation in production plant by fixing bugs, troubleshooting and developing new features. Often visited the production facility in Denton, TX to get feedback and learn about their issues. Installed a new Laser Engraving System and wrote a converter in C# for the old DOS based Laser Engraving system files to run on the new laser. Fixed various bugs in custom plug-ins for UG CAD system. Worked in UG CAD 5/6 as well as Rhinoceros CAD to modify 3D models for the 3D printing project. Supported various in-house systems that were used by artists and graphics operators.

SPI – SE500: Worked on transitioning the Solder Paste Inspection software to a new 64 bit platform and adapted it to a new hardware. Implemented a host of new features, including record/playback, synthetic image generation for simulation. SPI – SE300: Designed and implemented two customer specific features that enabled the customers to control SPI machine by using an outside mounted barcode reader, and communication with their server. Implemented new features making extensive use of Design Patterns for several releases. Features included Horizontal Cross Section with area calculation, “Ice Cube” perfect solder paste deposit simulation for a chosen solder paste deposit. Implemented Skip Mark processing, enabling the product skip unwanted boards in the panel and automatic defects’ image collection after inspection for off line viewing Flex/AOI: Worked on enhancement for the Flex Automatic Optical Inspection System. Was involved in converting the Flex and SPI application to 64 bit platform.Implemented porting from MS Visual Studio 6 to MS Visual Studio 7/2003 of several MS Windows based applications. Designed and developed Cross Section feature for SE 300. Improved operator productivity by designing and implementing 3D viewer for Solder Paste Inspection System SE 300 that enabled the operator to manipulate, inspect and diagnose solder paste anomalies more efficiently. Work involved learning system design, incorporating the feature into working system in a very short time. Adhering to a tight schedule and reporting work progress on a daily basis.
