Nezar Raees is a dual qualified lawyer being a Bahraini practicing lawyer and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He obtained his practicing certificate in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the year 2000 and in England and Wales in the year 2004. He is a member of the Bahrain Lawyers Society and the Law Society of England and Wales.Nezar is the Senior Partner at Nezar Raees Associates, a law practice set up by him in the year 2008. The practice offers legal services, with a specific focus on corporate and commercial law, litigation and alternative dispute resolution, employment law and intellectual property. The firm’s client base covers a wide range of international and local corporate clients, individuals and financial institutions. His area of specialty is corporate and commercial law with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, joint ventures, group restructuring, private placements and private equity work. Nezar also has experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a broad range of industries.Prior to setting up Nezar Raees Associates, Nezar occupied the role of General Counsel to a major real estate conglomerate in the Kingdom of Bahrain and has developed extensive experience in the real estate sector. He also worked as a solicitor for the international law firm Trowers & Hamlins in its Bahrain and London offices.Nezar heads the firm’s commercial team and has rights of audience at the Court of Cassation, the Administrative Court and the Constitutional Court.
