Promoted from Opening Assistant General Manager of a single restaurant to corporate Operations Manager after one year.• Managed new store openings in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, from design development phases to opening operations. Construction project management included: hiring of design professionals and oversight of design development phase; managing the bid process and selecting general contractors; value engineering; sourcing and purchasing furniture, fixtures and kitchen equipment; monitoring construction progress and adherence to the schedule and budget; owner's liaison and representation at every OAC meeting; creating/maintaining project files: gathering and maintaining CDs, proofs of insurance, records of change orders, materials submittals, FF&E specs, cut sheets; coordinating installations not included in the build-out – POS, reservation system, A/V, security cameras and alarm system; making site visits to monitor construction progress; approving and tracking payments to GCs, vendors, design professionals; setting up accounts for utilities; providing weekly reports, identifying potential challenges and solutions; walk-through with GC, punch list, project close-out; establishing service providers – e.g. linen, cleaning service, valet, exterminator; sourcing and purchasing smallwares, supplies; designing materials, timelines for preopening staff training; hiring, training staff; operational support through soft openings and launch parties – invitations and guest list, menu development, staffing, floor management.• Built and managed POS and inventory systems (Aloha Table Service, Aloha Inventory Control, Command Center, Configuration Center, Enterprise) and trained store management on their use.
