Led the creation of a multibrand design system for news publishing across Android, iOS, and web platforms. Focused on delivering cohesive user experiences across platforms while optimizing for the unique requirements of each platform.The design system was a foundational part of a new shared technical platform for Schibsted’s 20+ digital newspapers (including the biggest newspapers in Sweden and Norway) and a prerequisite for implementation. As the original member of the design system team, I took on responsibilities that spanned from strategic planning to hands-on UX work. This involved creating scalable work processes, establishing a design infrastructure, driving adoption through consistent advocacy, and managing extensive stakeholder engagement beeing in the frontline.Simultaneously, I recruited and managed a diverse, skilled team that essentially operated as a hybrid of product/resource/DesignOps team. We operated with our own backlog and roadmap, driving efficient and coordinated design execution.

As a senior member of the UX team, reporting directly to the CTO, I leveraged my background in design management to take on leadership responsibilities, including recruitment, consultant hiring, and resource planning. During a critical period of transition for the team, I provided managerial oversight while maintaining my role as a hands-on UX designer.My key responsibilities included designing and refining user experiences for native Android and iOS apps, as well as web platforms. I led initiatives such as benchmarking studies, facilitated workshops, and executed guerrilla user testing and structured interviews. I also created user flows and wireframes to optimize product usability and drive continuous improvement.After about two years at Aftonbladet and going through a major reorganization, I was offered a new role that focused on developing a new, shared platform for news editing and publishing across Schibsted’s media houses. I leaped at the opportunity to build a new product and a team from scratch.

As a Group Manager in a diverse UX and design team at a global mobile app development company, I reported directly to the COO. My role involved recruiting both local and international talent, strategically allocating design resources to various projects, and organizing daily operations to ensure our team consistently produced high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. I prioritized process improvements and cultivated a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing both within our team and across departments.

Collaborated closely with developers, testers, and fellow designers across various cross-functional product teams. My main responsibility was to define mobile app concepts and outline the user journey. This included writing user stories, creating wireframes, developing information hierarchies, and producing user flow diagrams and interactive prototypes. By initiating the design process early in client projects and embracing continuous testing and iteration, I transformed low-fidelity sketches into detailed specifications that served as blueprints for app development and testing.As the primary point of contact for design-related matters, I worked closely with clients to understand their goals and needs, ensuring that all design deliverables were completed on time and within budget. During this time, I contributed to over 30 client projects across multiple mobile platforms.
