As Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) I help our clients plan out their strategic direction from an IT point of view. Working with business decision makers, I provide guidance to select best of breed technologies to increase efficiencies and provide a competitive advantage. Using the TruMethods platform, I work with our clients to review and understand technology risks and how to reduce them. This provides insight into the strengths and weaknesses of their current information infrastructure as it relates to supporting their businesses, from where we can properly assess and plan out future growth along with associated short and long term budgeting.As part of the senior management team within Vertex, I have become well versed with the EOS / Level 10 platform as a means to improve the vision, traction and health of the business.

Primarily working in a sub contractor model, I work closely with the end client to review their unique business requirements and help them through the selection process of best of breed technology solutions.Much of my time is then spent in project design and implementation phases, whether managing a team of technicians or rolling up my sleeves to dive into the solution myself. For the majority of my time with Metafore I was on site at the Cambridge Toyota Plant. What started as filling in answering phones on the helpdesk led to a restructuring of the help desk process, working at a 3rd level support position, and conducting project management work on project by project basis. I worked on server maintenance, new desktop image design and deployment, and co-ordinating desktop rollouts.

My position at Metafore varied from in house support, to on site Meridian PBX phone system work at Manulife Financial, to on site IT services at the Cambridge Toyota plant. This is where I started to build the basis of my post education real world IT skills.

As a co-op student through the University of Waterloo, I spent several terms at McNeil. The role consisted of desktop support, roll-outs, Lotus Notes administration, and special projects.
