Serving my National Service as a research specialist, I monitor global current affairs developments daily. I am also required to assist my supervisors in collecting and collating information for research products that are of importance to the defence of Singapore. Besides doing my research taskings, I also had the opportunity to attend specific courses such as Computer Vision with Deep Learning in Republic Polytechnic which will also help me in my future related study of interest.

As the 22-week intern in the Research & Development (R&D) department of RFNet Technologies Pte Ltd, I did Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT) for some of their products and related software, mainly Wireless Camera Recording Unit (WCRU) and Access Point (AP).Using LaTeX, I also authored two separate 100-page user manuals for WCRU and AP. Subsequently, I was offered a position as a Software Engineer right after my internship.As a Software Engineer, I supported the Hardware and Project department with technical advice on top of the UAT tasks that I was assigned to. I was also tasked to help the Project department to configure and prepare the equipment to be used in their projects.Over there, I learned a lot about different protocols used in an embedded system, such as File Transfer Protocol (FTP), HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
