    ● Discover the fusogenic ability of carbon nanotubes porin (CNTP) and investigate its mechanism● Developed novel CNTP lipid nanoparticles (cationic and ionizable lipids) encapsulated with RNA/DNA to improve the transfection efficiency of human breast cancer cells, human mesenchymal stem cells, and human dendritic cells using luciferase/EGFP SAM-mRNA, FACS, and microscopy ● Developed protocol for capped, poly-A tail RNA (1000-10000 bp) synthesis and quality control using cloning, RNA transcription, bioanalyzer, and lipofectamine assay● Developed a novel drug delivery system using liposomes embedded with CNTP for target-delivery of doxorubicin (DOX) to neuroblastoma and glioma cells and human breast cancer cells at much lower encapsulated concentration of DOX (10 µg/ml) compared to commercial Doxil (2mg/ml) with the same cell viability (~10%)● Designed and conducted the animal study to understand the cytotoxicity and the biodistribution of CNTP, and efficiency of CNTP-facilitated drug delivery using doxorubicin on MDA-MB-231 xenograft tumor models ● Studied the CNTP-induced differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblast, adipocyte, neural cells, and chondrocyte by looking at immunohistochemistry using antibodies and dyes as well as cell morphology
