Komamboga - Kampala

During my internship, I engaged in various activities, including:•Collaborating with a team on a group project to develop an RFID web-based attendance system. I utilized an Arduino Uno microcontroller and created a web-based dashboard using HTML, Visual Studio Code, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and PHP-MyAdmin.•Employed Solidworks to design a system casing for the RFID attendance system. Additionally, I utilized a CNC router to cut the parts from a carded board material, ensuring precise and accurate construction.•Utilized Solidworks to design a wooden table and a plastic key holder, creating detailed 3D models of both objects.•Utilized 3D printers to bring the key holder design to life, creating a physical object from the digital model.•Concluded the internship by delivering a presentation of the group project, showcasing our work, achievements, and the RFID web-based attendance system we developed.These activities allowed me to gain practical experience in hardware programming, web development, design, CNC machining, 3D printing, and presentation skills.

During the university workshop practice, I engaged in the following activities: •Electronic Components: Worked with resistors, transistors, diodes, and capacitors. Tested and assembled them, creating circuits like a bridge rectifier and voltage regulator. Analyzed waveforms using an oscilloscope.•Computer Parts: Learned about motherboard components and their functions, including CPU, RAM, storage, and expansion slots. Explored power distribution to different parts.•OS Installation: Installed operating systems on Windows computers by formatting drives, partitioning disks, and using installation discs or flash drives.•Adobe Photoshop: Designed posters, certificates, and edited photos using Adobe Photoshop.•Web Development: Learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Created web pages with structure, styling, and interactivity.•Cisco Networking: Worked with switches, routers, cables, and patch panels. Designed networks using Cisco Packet Tracer, troubleshooting connectivity issues.•Embedded Systems: Used Arduino programming and sensors to develop systems like automated lights, water level detectors, and automated doors. Assembled circuits and simulated them using Proteus.These activities provided practical skills in electronics, computer hardware, OS installation, Photoshop, web development, networking, and embedded systems.
