My name is Nathan Gaschke and I am a Creative Director based out of Kansas City. At the core, I would describe myself as a creative adventurist and an aspiring builder of people.To me, experiential design is about crafting moments that enhance the human experience. Although this sounds like a lofty, and overly simplified statement, this is at the center of how I approach problem solving. From a museum exhibit to an immersive technology activation; the design of these elements fall short if there isn’t a clear purpose and mission. I believe design is about evoking a connection in the moment that creates a spark. An exhibit about bird habitats may spark a student’s passion for Ecology. A photo-op installation may provide a window into a cherished memory. Or it may be an interactive digital sculpture meant to elicit the response, “whoa, now that was cool.”Overall, designed objects or experiences are not at the heart of what matters, or why I design. They are small touch points created to magnify special moments of the human existence that last long after an object's lifespan.Thanks for spending a moment here with me!
