About Nikki Gauthier
While my original career path was leading me towards a role in education, I followed my passion and found that it led me to a field where I am uniquely qualified to put my organized and my creative sides to work for the advancement of the arts.In the spring of 2021 I took on roles with two arts organizations in Three Oaks, Michigan – as Gallery Manager for Arbor3 Arts and Volunteer Coordinator & Operations Assistant for Acorn Theater. At the same time, I launched Gauthier Creative with a targeted focus on social media management for artists and small business owners. Not long after joining the team at The Acorn, I happily accepted a full time role as Front of House and Marketing Coordinator. My role expanded again in January 2022 when I was named Manager of Marketing and Programs for the performing arts center. All of this current work is a natural next step for me after my initial transition to the arts as Marketing and Programs Manager for the Box Factory for the Arts in 2018 and subsequent role as Assistant Director for Schaller Gallery. In each venture, I continue to demonstrate everyday that I have a heart for artists and their work as well as the right mindset and skill set for successful arts management. It’s not hard to see how landing in the arts was all but inevitable since I am an artist and musician myself. I came to music early in life taking piano lessons at my grandma’s side. On my own and with my band Dirty Sally, performance credits include The Acorn, Box Factory for the Arts, Krasl Art Center, The Livery, and Benton Harbor Arts Association’ Art Hop and Arts in the Park Series. An affinity for painting came later in life when my dad gave me art supplies for Christmas one year. My artwork can be found under She Looks Designs on FB/IG and in person at Waterfront Framing and Design in St. Joseph, Michigan.
