I bring awareness to BIRD Foundation in North Carolina area. The BIRD Foundation is a federal organization that promotes and supports collaborations between US and Israeli companies. The foundation provides conditional grants of up to US$1.5M, which can cover up to 50% of the cost of a joint R&D project. The grant does not require equity, and repayment is only due upon sales (5% of the sales of the product that was developed with the grant’s support). The foundation promotes collaborations in virtually every area that can show significant innovation and demonstrate commercial potential. It also provides matchmaking support between U.S. and Israeli companies.
