From NYC to Boston to Silicon Valley to Tokyo, I’ve had the immense pleasure of spending the last 20 years in many of the most dynamic and technologically innovative cities in the world. I have a quantitative background (data science and analytics, private equity and investment banking), but also a strong, qualitative interest in people and cultures. I sought out a wide range of roles and different geographies, including studying user behavior and revamping user experiences, designing product and product launches, kickstarting AB testing and experimentation, managing data analytics and business intelligence, closing global partnerships, and building out teams in more than 10 countries on 5 continents, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. As a result, I bring a holistic perspective, a wealth of best practices, global contacts, and adaptability to my work. I enjoy the challenge — and growth potential — of bringing varied disciplines together to achieve the best outcomes, and I revel in identifying and studying different centers of innovation and creativity around the world.I learned that:a. human needs and biases are largely universal which makes thoughtful UX practices very scalableb. data is often plentiful but rarely fully utilized, and people who are able to make sense of it are incredibly valuablec. building teams that learn well is uncommon but so important; most go from one failure or success to another without ever knowing how or why d. most product launches fall short, usually due to poor execution, not poor ideas e. all of the above is often true regardless of whether you’re a Fortune 500 company or a startup team of 5Earlier in my career, I designed a mobile diagnostics healthcare solution at Harvard Medical School, with a goal of increasing basic healthcare for indigenous tribes in the Amazon rainforest. It remains an unforgettable experience that combined work with social impact for underserved populations. I'd love opportunities to do more of that. When I’m not working, I like to explore new places (current tally: 61 countries) and oceans (SSI- certified underwater diver). I enjoy photography (black and white), books (fiction), and music (live). Above all, I enjoy my two mischievous children, whom I recently started the incredibly humbling but surprisingly fun challenge of learning karate with.
