Nick is currently supporting several waste companies, helping with contract bids and working on permitting disposal of LLW. He has also been part of an SKM Rail team undertaking review of Network Rail infrastructure maintenance requirements and supported models for radiological dose assessment (FSA) and assisted with a report on site restoration (NEA, 2014).Nick provides specialist expertise in the application of computer modelling techniques. This expertise is applied within the nuclear, defence, waste and utility sectors for major domestic, international and government clients providing solutions to engineering, process and environmental problems.He has developed several waste, rail and radiological modelling tools using different software (e.g. Purgamentum, to analyse and cost the collection, transportation, recycling and disposal of municipal arisings). Nick has also been involved in the development of models for civil infrastructure (e.g. CEAS@R for LUL to model uncertainty associated with infrastructure condition and cost estimates and CECASE/CECOST for Network Rail), fleet operations and utilities management.
