I am part of the GIS team at Wood (formerly Amec Foster Wheeler), and am responsible for providing GIS solutions for a variety of projects in infrastructure, water, transportation and other sectors. I have an active role in a major infrastructure project in South East England, including data translation, data analysis, data management, data licencing and data visualization. As GIS specialist on numerous other projects I am involved in the administration and management of GIS databases, web portals and software. Responsible for processing, analysing, visualising and delivering geographic data as well as support solutions to internal and external projects and clients. This includes the analysis of a project's data and assessment of its GIS requirements, ensuring the availability of spatial data through web portals, paper and electronic mapping and reporting. Further administrative and development role for the company's ArcGIS Online portal and FME Server environment. Key projects include:- analysis using FME and the ArcGIS suite of runway inspection data for Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (2016).- a year-long secondment (in 2015) by request from the client, to the IXAS highways project for GIS support, advice and further development of their FME workspace models during the design and construction phases of the A9 motorway reconstruction works (http://www.gaasperdammerweg.nl/);- a year-long secondment (in 2013) to the Waterschap Hollandse Delta water board for GIS support and advice to the client (http://www.wshd.nl/);

Apeldoorn/Rosmalen, Netherlands

Progressed into a contract role in the company after commencement of the MSc programme and was immediately seconded into the Rijkswaterstaat Highway Authority (http://www.rws.nl/) for GIS data entry work and managing their GIS systems. Further secondment into Heijmans N.V. to assist with updating of client's GIS databases and developing streamlined approaches using FME for multiple highway construction projects.

Heerenveen, Netherlands

Internship for the MSc GIMA programme. This included researching the possibilities for constructing a new country-wide database for large-scale topography (BGT) for the Dutch Government using existing topographic data.

Zwolle, Netherlands

Conducted research for the GIMA MSc thesis for the implementation of a new country-wide database for large-scale topography and two other linked databases on buildings, postal addresses and property values (BGT, BAG and WOZ).
