I am responsible for my company perfomance heads in a positive direction. Sometimes I do have pressure and the long hours work everyday but I am happy with what I am doing. As this is a fairly new and small construction company. I am getting involve a lot in running the daily operations which is involving in purchasing orders, quoting up prices for new clients, dealing with local council authorities, constructing a contract with all other sub-contractors and of course, making sure all of my personnels know their responsibility of what they will be doing to get the job done. Another thing that I like about my job is that I can get involve in a lot on-site physical works using all power tools and machinery. By far, the experience it bring is priceless as I can truly see the world by putting a lot of effort in to work hard to get the job done. My simple goals since I decided go run my business is “get the job done”

I have been full-filled my ambition to work for the Department of State Development (DSD) as a Petroleum Engineer for a 6 month fixed-term contract.I have been working very hard and working smart toward the assigned project in Well Integrity, which aim to study the cement quality behind the casing for more than two thousand wells that drilled and completed in Cooper and Eromanga Basin in South Australia. I am also able to pose my skills within the team such as involving in the discussion among colleagues and my supervisors. As a result, I have been achieved the scope of the project with excellent outcome that delivered above management’s expectation, which had been made a contribution to the current government department. Within this time frame worked here, I also studied various areas such as understood various dataset in this basin, became an expert on Cement Evaluation (CBL) and immersed in Australian culture.

As an international student transferred from Vietnam in 2012. I have graduated in July 2014

Main purpose: Observational drilling operations.• Onshore: Utilising my knowledge which gained from Well Completion course in 2012 to obtain the practical of designing the well plan with minimum cost and safety. Also, having a good chance to observe drilling engineers working closely with the drilling contractors, and services companies, as well as geologists and other technical specialists to supervise the drilling crew on site.• Offshore: Observing the company’s representative monitoring drilling process and contributing to work under their supervises as following: - Casing measurement: Checking the makeup loss for each pipe going to use and calculating the casing tally. Also doing quantity count after installing process completed.- Cement calculation: Calculating the amount of cement going to inject and monitoring pressure per strokes during cement displacement process.- Mud checking: Doing chemical experiments with the sample mud taken from pump flow during drilling circulation.- Bit checking: Checking bit grade after POOH.- Report: Gathering information from other sections to preparing morning report for the night shifts (6pm – 6 am) and submits to the company.
