HALO Team (Horizon and Light Organization) is a high school student-lead volunteer organization sponsored by Nghe An Provincial Red Cross.Our mission is to support people in need in Nghe An, especially children by raising funds and organizing various volunteer events and contributing to the community.One of the milestones in my student life was being the vice president of the HALO team. Developing a volunteer organization from the beginning is a difficult task. In those first days leading the event “UP”, we failed to call for sponsors and I decided to organize a fundraising campaign by cooperating with local shops to sell stuff. Our journey was traveling to a local welfare center to visit disabled children. In guiding and directing other members, I discovered that I have the ability to lead others and motivate them to achieve great things. This position taught me about the importance of individual participation and good leadership.
