The Business Development Manager is responsible for promoting and selling the programs of University to potential students, responding to inquiries from potential students on various programs, and identifying the appropriate programs to meet these goals. The primary function of this position is to maximize each opportunity to market programs to meet or exceed the enrollment targets for the University. The Business Development Manager will at various times be responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the University.• Responding to email, telephone and walk-in inquiries from potential students; promoting the programs and services of the University• Interviewing potential students to explore their background, interests and identify their individual career goals; advise on appropriate programs to meet their goals• Completing enrollment of new students including related paperwork and providing information on payment options• Maintaining records to track and follow-up on potential leads, providing motivation and encouragement to potential students as appropriate • Tracking and reporting on weekly activities (i.e. leads, appointments, interviews, enrollment)• Providing ongoing coaching/motivation to students to support success in the program• Planning and participating in campus events such as Open Houses and Information Sessions, inviting set numbers of students • Attending regular marketing meetings• Establishing and maintaining monthly targets• Following up on potential or actual cancellations

To represent Thompson Rivers University in Vietnam as a Marketing Service Representative to fulfil the duties and achieve marketing objectives as follow:• Research, develop, implement, and evaluate TRU marketing strategies in Vietnam• Promote and market Thompson Rivers, which includes participating in student recruitment fairs.• Recruit new agents annually and strengthen relationships with existing syndicated agent and associate network, provided the MSR has no authority to make any commitments that are bidding on TRU.• Support Transnational Education with the development of articulation agreements.• Support International Training Centre with the promotion of ITC programs.• Develop agent incentives in order to ensure the maximum profit at minimum costs.• Meet with and report on agents in Vietnam.• Receive feedbacks from agents, schools and individuals.• Compile information and coordinate feedback with appropriate staff.• Participate in the development of new TRU promotional material.• Develop marketing projections and cost analysis.• Make recommendations for new programs and courses in response to market needs.• Evaluate, attend, and report on appropriate education fairs in Vietnam.• Create travel itineraries three week prior to any participating marketing event.• Produce quarterly and annual market performance reports.• Provide support to any subsidiary MSR in Vietnam.• Identify key high schools in the region and establish partnerships

Main duties:• Creates annual operating plans & budgets.• Develops & monitors strategies for ensuring the short-term and long-term financial viability of the organization.• Develops future leadership within the organization.• Creates & maintain procedures for implementing plans approved.• Creates monitors and values staffs’ KPIs semi-annually.• Oversees the operations of organization & manages its compliance with legal & regulatory requirements.• In charge of P & L and report to the board on a regular basis.• Oversees staff in developing annual budgets that support operating plans & submit budget for board approval.• Create marketing strategy & budgets & submit them for board approval.• In charge of SEM & SEO and other online marketing channels.• Oversee content, production & distribution of all marketing and publicity materials (posters, flyers, etc.)• Servers as the primary spokesperson and representative of the organization.• Assures that the organization and its missions are consistently presented in a strong and positive image.• Oversea design, delivery, and quality of the programs and services.• Collect & analyzes evaluation information that measures the success of the organization’s program efforts.
