It / Infrastructure ManagerAdvance Fitness Marketing Aug 2006 - Aug 2008Revolutionised and optimised the processes and workflow of the call centre operations. Introducing the ability to track metrics in real-time to enact change instantly and effect the course of promotions. When I walked into the business in 2006, the outbound call centre was running off paper phone lists. Operators would call a number and cross the number off the list in a very manual process. Reporting on these paper phone lists was near impossible to do in volume.I designed, developed and implemented a web based workflow system to track customers from first contact all the way to final sale. This included a multi tenanted real time booking system, distance prioritisation reporting (distance from booking centre based on postcode) and allowed the business to track and prioritize customers with a higher chance of conversion. As all potential customers were now booked and tracked electronically, updates from sales staff regarding conversions could be completed instantly, providing campaign feedback and reduced the need to maintain multiple reporting modules across departments. This whole system was designed and implemented on a shoestring budget whilst trying to convince buy in from stakeholders. The system is still in operation today with minimal maintenance. Implementing governance in accordance to changing legislation regarding the DNCR (Do Not Call Register). Reviewing the requirements of the DNCR, changes were made to the system to enable it to comply with the regulations of the DNCR. Upgraded to a VOIP system and integrated the phone system to the call centre operations workflow. This reduced the call centre operator error rate by 5%, ensuring the correct numbers were always dialled. In addition to reducing the error rate, the VOIP system reduced the training and ramp up time for new staff as well as allowed more enhanced monitoring of operators and their performance.
