  • Electronic Arts (Ea)
    Senior Web Developer
Electronic Arts (Ea) Apr 2021 - Oct 2023
    Redwood City, Ca, Us
Developed the "Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes" web store as a proof-of-concept to explore a potential business opportunity. The store's remarkable success, surpassing $10 million in cumulative revenues, prompted a strategic pivot within EA Mobile. This led to a decision to adopt web stores as a core strategy for future mobile titles. Several web stores have since launched, with many more in various stages of development.Co-Authored a JavaScript SDK to help accelerate the process of web store development. The SDK abstracts away much of the complexity of interacting with EA’s backend systems and allows web store developers to focus on relevant web store features and functionality. The WebSDK was used in the development of web stores for several EA Mobile titles including “Design Home”, “Golf Clash”, and “Sim City: Build It”. Constructed a web portal that provided access to various EA-related training materials for Glu employees to study during the transition to EA ownership and management.
  • Glu Mobile
    Senior Web Developer
    Glu Mobile Dec 2011 - Apr 2021
    San Francisco, Ca, Us
Created a web application that enables Glu to keep track of all PII data collection endpoints, the types of data collected, and how and where it is stored. It reminds each endpoint manager to update their data collection information on a monthly basis via email. A report is generated for the legal team at the end of each month detailing all changes across all collection endpoints.Collaborated closely with our data analytics team to develop an application capable of accessing historical customer purchase information across all Glu titles, replacing the need for separate systems for each game. This reduced the onboarding time for our customer service representatives. We achieved an impressive 60% reduction in the time required to resolve each customer ticket.Co-Developed an automated deployment pipeline for several AWS-hosted websites, including Glu.com, Sorcerersarena.com, and Designhome.com. This pipeline streamlined the release process and enhanced the overall efficiency of web application deployments. It ensured a consistent and reliable deployment process across multiple websites, minimizing the risk of human error and expediting the delivery of updates and enhancements to our online platforms.Partnered with key executives to create a web application that provides deep insights into the various performance metrics of Glu’s games from all around the world. At a glance information is displayed across several interactive, customizable charts. Users can subscribe to numerous daily email reports that provide the same data available in the web portal for added convenience.Reconstructed the Glu website using a custom built CMS that suited our needs better than off the shelf options. The site served over 30 million visitors from all over the world between 2013 and 2018.Built single-page promotional micro-sites for Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Terminator: Genesys, Katy Perry: Pop, and Britney Spears: American Dream.
  • Foundation 9 Entertainment
    Lead Web Developer
    Foundation 9 Entertainment Aug 2008 - Dec 2011
    Irvine, Ca, Us
Co-Developed a custom-built CMS which was used to manage the content for all 6 game studio websites and the corporate website. It incorporated a content versioning system that allowed a user to restore any saved version of a page’s content if necessary. It also included a content approval system that ensured that each page’s content was reviewed and approved by a specific person before it was published.Created a tool called QBiTS that was used in all of Foundation 9’s studios to track game development-related metrics including game quality, development budgets, and project milestones. It also provided LTD sales data for every game title released in the last 10 years by every major game publisher in the industry. This enabled our business development group to be more effective in new contract negotiations with game publishers.Built a “QA Kid Tests” tool that was used regularly by the QA department to create and manage volunteer play tests for game titles in development. It enabled a QA manager to define a specific set of requirements for a focus group (gender, age, location, game console preference, etc.), create a play test event, and automatically invite the testers who met the criteria to the play test event. In addition, the tool enabled the event organizer to track each invitee’s response, rate each tester’s performance and manage our database of volunteer tester information.Deployed, customized, and managed Foundation 9's intranet portal which was build on the Jive SBS platform. It was used daily all across the organization and was the primary tool used for communication among the different game development teams and groups. I created a custom visual theme for each of our studios using a combination of CSS and XML.
