My name is Nhan Trung Ngo, graduated in Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours)at Deakin University, Geelong Campus, Melbourne, Australia in late 2021. I came back toVietnam in March 2022 to visit my parents and find opportunities.In April 2022, I had a chance to work as an intern in the Quality Control department underRicons Construction Investment JSC. I was assigned to work at Celadon City A6 Apartmentcomplex in Tan Phu, HCMC. My duty were working with material suppliers, measure andinspect sample to ensure qualities has been meet, daily tracking of construction activitiesprogression, weekly report to senior manager in person, working with potentials suppliers,communication with clients to satify their demands. I get to learn and observe how aconstruction contractor operate construction work on site, maintaines work safety, controlsmaterial quality and their relationship with investor representatives, sub-contractors,engineering consultant, MEP team suppliers.September 2022, I became an Construction Estimator at Novas Vietnam, an Australianbased business, specialising in supply premium Kitchen & Bath sanitaries products forprojects in both Australia and Vietnam. My duty as an estimator was reading buildingdrawing layouts, provide exact number of sanitary products that required for the project,picking up equivalent Novas’s product and provide bill of quantity for sales team tonegotiate with clients. Besides, I was assigned to coordinate for setting up the company’sfirst showroom in District 7, HCMC, where I worked as junior project lead, I work alongsidewith both Australian team and Vietnam, from design, ordering sample products, to on siteinstallation simultaneously.After a year working in Vietnam, I keep looking for more chance to practice in differentworks.
