I am a Field Engineer with Ericsson FSO, maintaining UK Mobile Operators external RAN sites alongside MSC support for a number of big tech companies.My responsibilities include but aren't limited to:• In depth fault diagnosis and resolution across multiple operators and technologies across the UK on 2G/3G/4G/5G Networks including microwave link transmission, restoring service to dead sites and COOS (Cell Out of Service) issues• Quality Assurance on new build sites for 3UK Project XIA 5G NRO (Network Roll-Out) and coaching for SWCs (Small Works Contractors) on deployment activities.• Principal Engineer on DICI (Design, Install, Commission, Integrate) deployment taskings for both 3UK and VM02 operators, ensuring sites go live on time.• Completing PIV (Pre-Integration Visit) and HOP (Hand-Over Pack) documentation.• Cat 6 climbing of high structures and rigging of light equipment on masts and towers, prioritising Health & Safety.• Mentoring of new starters and colleagues with processes and OJT (On Job Training) for the full suite of telecoms equipment typically found on site, POC for new starters on commencement of lone working.• Rigging of semi-perm satellite backhaul solutions to restore service to ESN (Emergency Services Network) when the standard backhaul transmission route becomes damaged and can't be repaired.
