Mecop Cim Intern
Pocatello, Idaho, United States
I worked full time as a part of the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) team at onsemi's site in Pocatello, Idaho for my first 6-month internship through MECOP.During my time there, I was assigned to a large project on backlog, updating a fab-critical application to a more modern and stable environment. I was given control over the implementation details and ended up deploying the new environment without any issues. I was also tasked with creating thorough documentation of the new environment and training the other team members on it in order to ensure a smooth transition after I left. I am honored to say that I was awarded a company spotlight award for my exceptional work on this project. My work on this project was varied and involved many different skills and technologies. Some examples of things I did include working with Java application servers, using Docker to containerize web services, creating simple APIs, and setting up some basic TLS certificates.
